How does a Ultrafiltration Water Purifier Turn Well Water into Drinking Water?
When raw water, such as muddy water, well water, or tap water, enters the home water filter, it passes through a high-precision UF (ultrafiltration) membrane. This membrane effectively removes harmful contaminants like E. coli, legionella, cholera, cysts, and algae, leaving you with clean, safe water.
The system uses a pure physical filtration process, requiring no electricity and producing no wastewater. It relies entirely on natural pipeline pressure, making it energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and a cost-effective solution for home water purification.
How Can I Install the NEWater Well Water Filter System for Home?
You can refer to the installation diagram on the left for guidance. The specific installation steps may vary slightly depending on where you’re setting it up. Our engineers are available online to provide professional technical support throughout the installation process.
Important tips:
- Close the drainage valve when using purified water.
- When draining wastewater, close the purified water faucet.

Can I Replace the Filter Cartridge Myself?
Absolutely! Our filter cartridges are designed for easy cleaning and reuse. The system was built with simplicity in mind to make filter replacement user-friendly. Here’s how to replace the cartridge:
- Unscrew the cap from the unit.
- Remove the clamp.
- Take out the old filter and insert the new one.
The process is straightforward and designed for easy customer use!

Foam may occur due to residual protective liquid on the membrane fibers, combined with pump pressure. The fine filtration of the ultrafiltration membrane can break down water molecules into tiny bubbles. If you encounter this issue, simply turn on the faucet and rinse for 10-15 minutes to flush it out, and the system will be ready for normal use.
The protective liquid is a cleaning agent similar to alcohol. Its main purpose is to prevent the micropores of the ultrafiltration membrane from collapsing. It is harmless to humans and can be easily flushed away with water.
To eliminate any odors, remove the filter and soak it in clean water (not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius) for about 10 minutes. After soaking, rinse it thoroughly to wash away the protective liquid, and the smell should gradually dissipate.
The water filtered by an ultrafiltration system contains minerals. Since minerals and scale can coexist, retaining minerals will naturally result in some scale. Calcium and magnesium ions are among these minerals. When heated, they react with carbon dioxide in the air, producing white scale. Only pure water systems can eliminate scale completely, but they tend to be more expensive.
It is normal for a brand-new purifier to have some water in the packaging. Water is used during factory testing to check the pressure. The machine may retain small droplets, and there is also protective liquid in the filter to prevent it from drying out and to inhibit bacterial growth. This is typical for new units; just rinse for 5-8 minutes after installation before use.
Using a TDS meter or electrolyzer to test mineral water is misleading. These devices measure water purity and are meant for pure water systems. Since your ultrafiltration system retains beneficial minerals, the presence of these minerals will affect the TDS readings, making testing with these tools ineffective.
