Most Preferred Precision Filter Manufacturer in China
Some advanced water treatment systems consist of precision filters at the start. Usually, this filter is placed before the pressure vessel for treating water turgidity above 1 degree. The precision filter effectively meets the criteria of preparing water for the subsequent stages, such as reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration.
This filter removes small substances such as activated carbon and tiny quartz sand according to its filtration accuracy. The level of filtration can vary according to the type of material used.
At NEWater, we employ a diverse set of materials to design the precision filter. These include nylon, PP Cotton, and melt blown, among other things. The material is set in a steel tube and works by the process of mechanical filtration. The passage of water through the narrow pipe inlet ensures adequate pressure for the precision filter to serve its purpose.

NEWater Precision Filter
A key role of the precision filter is to improve the pretreatment operation effect. It also assists in the optimization of the dosage of flocculants and coagulant acids, thereby maintaining a reasonable operating state of the pretreatment equipment. Furthermore, it optimizes the dosage of coagulant acids and flocculants, ensuring the required quality of the effluent water.

A good precision filter can significantly improve the longevity of reverse osmosis equipment. This is because these can effectively remove water dirt, such as fine sand particles. These particles can cause substantial damage to the reverse osmosis setup, and therefore should be removed beforehand.
The precision filter is open to calibration depending on the type of material used. The selection of material is based on an initial assessment of source water quality. NEWater encourages interested parties to contact with a report on the source water quality so that we can suggest the best filtration system.

Let’s have a look at the other benefits of installing a precision filter. It should be used if the water supply is at risk from dissolved rust from old pipes. It usually consists of a deep mesh structure to facilitate mechanical filtration. This structure enables the filter to have a higher slag load capacity. The structure also enables it to withstand higher filtration pressure. The pore size is generally less than 10 micrometers, but we can even design filters with pore sizes lower than 5 micrometers.

The setup typically consists of a stainless-steel housing to hold the mesh. The general practice is to use R304 grade stainless steel. However, if the requirements include acid and alkali resistance, R316 grade stainless steel can also be used. The housing can be either flange type or clamp type depending on the flow of water. Large filtration flows are more suitable for flange-type housing. If needed, an activated carbon filtration element can be used. Sometimes, a wire-wound element is also used. The number of filtration elements can also vary, from a singular one to a dozen or more, depending on your requirements.
Regular checking is necessary to ensure optimum performance from the filter. Precision filters need replacement from time to time. Contact us if you need to replace your existing precision filter or if you are looking for new equipment for your facility.
