1. A sediment prefilter. This will filter out debris, particles, dirt, and sediments from water. However, it does not remove microscopic contaminants such as chemicals, bacteria, or volatile organic compounds.
2. An antibacterial system. This will remove harmful cysts, viruses, and bacteria present in the well water. This could be done by either chlorination or the use of UV light.
- Activated carbon filter. This component removes chloramines and chlorine. It uses charcoal or activated carbon granules.
- Resin filter. This component removes contaminants that harden water, such as iron, magnesium, and calcium.
